SpecterOps Training Goes Remote (Updated)

April 9, 2020 Update:

We are excited to partner with NorthSec (https://nsec.io/)in their new online conference format. Our Adversary Tactics: Red Team Ops and Adversary Tactics: Detection courses currently offered May 12^th – 15^th are moving slightly to be inline with the training portion of the conference, May 11^th – 14^th.

April 6, 2020 Update:

We have been monitoring the evolving Coronavirus outbreak closely for potential impacts to our future scheduled training events. While we are hopeful with news of the recent improved trajectory in the European area, we believe it is reasonable to expect significant travel restrictions will stay in place for at least the next few months. Given this expectation, and as we have with our courses in April and May, we have made the decision to move our Adversary Tactics: Red Team Ops course June 9th – 12th from in-person delivery hosted in Brussels, Belgium to an online offering. Along with this move, we will be lowering the price per seat to €3300. Any students currently registered for the course will receive a partial refund reflecting the new price in the coming days.

While given online, the course will focus on our European audience and will maintain the same timezone (Central European Summer Time).

Saying Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has evolved with blinding speed would certainly be an understatement. It was just eleven days ago we announced for the first time ever the option to attend our training courses remotely. Since that time it has become clear that the only way to contain this outbreak is to limit all travel and social gatherings if and when at all possible. To do our part we are moving all of our training courses to fully remote offerings through May 31st.

While all of us at SpecterOps have spent the last couple weeks adjusting to our new normal of full remote operations with no travel, we’ve been hard at work dusting off our plans for remote training delivery and making updates to ensure students receive the same experience online they would in person. We’re pretty excited to give folks a chance to see the fruits of our efforts.

In addition, given this time of financial uncertainty for many organizations, we took a look at how we can lower our course price (as many can attest, physical spaces to conduct training are a non-trivial expense). Through that evaluation, we will be lowering the price of all remote training courses offered during this time to a price per seat of $3500 (from $4000). Any students currently registered for our April 14th course will receive a partial refund reflecting the new price in the coming days.

Finally, due to the global impact of this event, a couple of our in-person training courses have had to be postponed or cancelled. And with many folks wanting to stay engaged while working fully from home, we thought having another option for remote training could help. With that in mind, we are releasing new online offerings of our Adversary Tactics: Detection and Adversary Tactics: Red Team Ops courses May 12th – 15th (see below for details).

We have always found the interactions of our in-person training courses extremely valuable, but we are excited to deploy this new format as well. Online training courses have always been something we wanted to be able to offer “eventually,” but never seemed to have the time to implement. We look forward to future in-person courses post COVID-19, and a potential new delivery format to add for those folks who find it difficult to attend in person.
