As a member of the OpenAI Partner Network and Daybreak Defense Network, SpecterOps helps organizations apply OpenAI GPT Cyber Models to authorized security testing and vulnerability research.

Alexandria, VA — Nov. 5, 2026 – SpecterOps today announced that it has joined the OpenAI Partner Network to bring OpenAI Daybreak Red capabilities to enterprise customers through the OpenAI Daybreak Defense Network. Daybreak Red, part of the OpenAI Daybreak program, provides eligible organizations access to OpenAI’s most advanced cyber models, including GPT-5.6 Cyber, for authorized vulnerability research, exploit validation, and security testing. New services, including AI-enhanced red team operations and red team enablement, combine SpecterOps’ adversary tradecraft with OpenAI GPT Cyber Models to help security teams find and fix weaknesses before attackers can use them.

“Experienced security practitioners play an important role in helping organizations apply AI effectively,” said Wunan Li, Global Cyber Partnerships, OpenAI. “SpecterOps brings that expertise to the OpenAI Partner Network, helping customers put our models to work in authorized assessments and develop practical approaches to AI-assisted security testing and workflows that follow.”

SpecterOps is proud to be listed among the trusted partners selected for the OpenAI Partner Network, a global program for partners to build, sell, and deliver AI solutions with OpenAI. As the red team of record for multiple frontier AI companies and Fortune 100 organizations, SpecterOps brings direct experience with AI-enabled adversary simulation to its work with Daybreak customers.

Through the Daybreak Defense Network, SpecterOps offers AI red team assessments and AI red team enablement. AI red team assessments combine OpenAI GPT Cyber Models, accessed through Daybreak Red, with adversary tradecraft to find weaknesses and validate their impact within an authorized scope. Through AI red team enablement, SpecterOps helps customers leverage OpenAI GPT Cyber Models to build or advance their own red team programs. Each begins with a collaborative review of the customer’s current program to identify where OpenAI GPT Cyber Models can best support its security goals. Customized engagements can also deliver prioritized findings and remediation plans, detection recommendations, and retesting defined during scoping.

SpecterOps researchers have already applied GPT-5.6 Cyber to real-world vulnerability research. Researcher Raj Patel used the model to uncover a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows domain controllers that allowed attackers to bypass LDAP signing. Through the Daybreak Red program, Patel used GPT-5.6 Cyber to help reverse engineer DLLs and pinpoint the underlying flaw, reducing research time by 40%.

“Frontier models are changing how quickly weaknesses can be found in Enterprise environments. The question security leaders still have to answer is what an attacker can reach once they get in,” said Robby Winchester, Chief Services Officer at SpecterOps. “Our operators pair OpenAI GPT Cyber Models with years of adversary tradecraft to answer that question for each customer’s environment, so teams know which paths matter most and what to fix first.”

The news builds on SpecterOps’ recent launch of Adversary Intelligence: LLM Tradecraft, a Tradecraft Academy course developed with OpenAI. Participants build the technical depth to evaluate AI systems critically, gain hands-on experience applying AI to real security workflows, and learn practical skills for assessing and securing agentic systems in enterprise environments.
